Doomscroller News FAQ

By Influish Editorial Team · Published · Last updated

Short answer

The Influish doomscroller video went up on 4 November 2026, and nine verified reports in four languages followed on 5 November. These answers cover the coverage itself: who reported what, when, and where accounts differ. Questions about the job and applying are covered separately.

Questions about the coverage

What is the latest news on the Influish doomscroller job?

As of 6 November 2026, no development has been verified beyond the 5 November 2026 coverage: Influish has not published a salary, deadline, number of openings, hire or official job page, and doomscroller.influish.com does not resolve. The last verified report is Asianet News Marathi's, at 21:11 IST on 5 November 2026.

When was the doomscroller job first posted?

Influish's video was posted on the Instagram account @gangsofstartup on 4 November 2026, according to six of the nine reports we verified. No report gives a time of posting.

Which outlet reported the doomscroller story first?

Of the reports we could verify, the earliest is Asianet News Hindi, published at 14:47 IST on 5 November 2026, followed by Times Kerala at 15:14 and NKTV at 15:26. Earlier reports may exist that we did not find or could not load.

How many outlets covered the Influish doomscroller job?

We verified nine reports, all published on 5 November 2026. One more, from Moneycontrol, is listed in news indexes but returned an access-denied error, and four further items were seen only in news indexes.

In which languages was the story covered?

Verified coverage exists in English (4 reports), Hindi (3), Marathi (1) and Malayalam (1). Tamil and Assamese items appeared in news indexes but were not verified.

Did NDTV or Moneycontrol report the doomscroller job?

Both outlets' headlines appear in news indexes dated 5 November 2026. Moneycontrol's page returned HTTP 403 to us and NDTV's article address could not be located, so we have not read either article and take no claims from them.

Why do the reports differ on some details?

The outlets wrote quickly from the same short video, some in translation, and at different times. That explains differing view counts, and probably the different renderings of a quoted line about sitting in the office. It does not resolve genuine conflicts such as who is speaking in the video or whether the role is full-time.

Who is the man in the doomscroller video?

This is disputed. Salam Hindustan and The Printlines name him as Sankalp Nag, Influish's founder and CEO. Six other outlets describe an unnamed man, representative or employees. Influish's website confirms Sankalp Nag is founder and CEO but not that he appears in the video.

Did any report say how much the job pays?

No report gave a salary for the Influish doomscroller job. Eight of the nine verified reports say the role is paid, but none gives an amount. A Tamil headline seen in a news index asks whether the job pays a monthly salary; that is a question, not a figure.

Is the 11,000 applicants figure verified?

No. The 11,000+ figure is Influish's own, as reported on 5 November 2026: seven reports carry it, attributed to the company, and none checked it independently. Most article bodies say more than 11,000 people requested the application form, which is not the same as applying, even though two headlines say 'applied'.

Has anyone been hired for the doomscroller role?

No hire has been reported or announced as of 6 November 2026. Our updates log will record it if it can be verified.

Is this the same as the Monk Entertainment doomscroller job?

No. Monk Entertainment (Monk-E), a Mumbai media and talent company, sought 'doomscrollers' in a LinkedIn post reported by Storyboard18 on 25 August 2025. The Influish posting is a separate opening from a different company, announced on Instagram in November 2026.

Is this tracker a news outlet?

No. It is a dated record of other outlets' coverage, published by Influish, the company in the story. It does not report news of its own and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the publishers it lists.
