Latest Verified Updates on the Doomscroller Story
By Influish Editorial Team · Published · Last updated
Short answer
No further updates have been verified as of 6 November 2026. The story still rests on the 4 November Instagram video and the 5 November news coverage. Our only later entries are the checks we ran on 6 November: Influish’s website, the doomscroller.influish.com address and the @gangsofstartup Instagram account showed no new information about pay, deadlines or hiring.

What checks have been made, and when?

Official channelsInfluish website, subdomain and Instagram account checked
influish.com loads and does not mention the doomscroller role; its homepage lists no open roles. doomscroller.influish.com does not resolve in DNS. The @gangsofstartup bio names the startup as INFLUISH and links a Google form labelled “Hiring Form”.
Coverage sweepRegistry opened: 9 verified, 1 unverified, 4 indexed only
Each supplied article was fetched and its metadata recorded; Google News RSS, Bing News RSS and web search were used to find more. Two additional reports (Marathi and Malayalam) were added after they loaded. Moneycontrol returned HTTP 403 and is marked unverified.
The 6 November checks covered influish.com, the @gangsofstartup Instagram account and the doomscroller.influish.com address, and re-read the 9 verified reports, including Asianet News Marathi, Asianet Newsable, Dainik Bhaskar Digital (English). The full list is in the coverage directory.
Earlier events — the posting of the Reel and each news report — are on the story timeline, not in this log. This page records only checks and verified changes after the coverage wave.

What would count as an update?
We will add a dated entry here if any of the following can be verified from a public source:
| Open question | Status 2026-11-06 | Likely source of an answer |
|---|---|---|
| Salary or stipend amount | Not disclosed | Influish's channels; follow-up reporting |
| Application deadline / form closed | Unknown | The @gangsofstartup bio; the form itself |
| Number of openings | Not disclosed | Company statement |
| Someone hired | Unknown | Company post; follow-up reporting |
| Official job page goes live | Not live (no DNS) | doomscroller.influish.com |
| Speaker in the video identified | Two outlets only | Company statement or on-video caption |
| Moneycontrol report readable | HTTP 403 | Re-fetch of the page |
We do not link to an application form: when we last checked (6 November 2026), no official Influish page for this opportunity was live. If an official page goes live, we will link it here clearly labelled. Until then, treat any “apply here” link from an unofficial source with caution.
Process
How are updates added?
- Find. We search Google News, Bing News and the web for new reports, and re-check the Instagram account, influish.com and the doomscroller.influish.com address.
- Load and read. A new report is used only if its page loads for us. We record publisher, headline, author and publication time from the page’s own metadata.
- Corroborate. A new claim is stated as fact only if two independent sources support it, or if we observe it directly on an official channel. Otherwise it is logged as single-source and attributed.
- Date it. Each entry gets the date of our check. Figures that move, such as view counts, keep the date they were reported.
- Propagate. The timeline, directory and comparison matrix are updated in the same change, and the “Updated” date on every affected page changes. Pages that did not change keep their old date.
The full method, including how we handle corrections, is on the methodology page.
